Day 7: Update

Dear Fellow Collectors,

First of all, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in this adventure so far. You have so far given us over a million dollars without knowing anything other than the initial promise of the Institute. Crazy? Yes. Unbelievable? You bet. We appreciate the leap of faith — and are very much looking forward to showing you more of what the Institute has prepared for you.

As per the website, Blockchain Art Institute is an institution born on the intersection between the physical and the digital, the old and the new, with a goal of immortalising our common blockchain history, one block at a time.

What this means for the Original Block Collection is that we have had the honor and privilege of working with some truly amazing artists, from both sides of the aisle, and watching them create block inspired pieces of art, exclusively for our opening act.

And we dare say — it was quite a sight.

As we are dealing with the abstract and the intangible, some reference points — as of the time of writing, the total lifetime sales of people who have their pieces in our Original Block Collection vastly exceeds the sales of the Collection itself. We believe that means that we are bridging the worlds in the right way.

We are now ready to talk about it a bit more. Over the coming couple of days, you will learn some of the Artists’ identities, you will see examples of their work and understand the creative process a bit better.

It is also worth mentioning that none of our physical Artists has ever created an NFT piece before. Their Original Block Collection pieces will be their first ever NFT — and we are talking about people selling for tens of thousands of dollars in the real world of art. We’ll leave it at that.

The Premiere takes place on block 12147200 — about four days from now. We don’t expect to sell significantly more of the Collection that we have so far. That means that around 520 of you stand a chance to own something truly unique. Congratulations.
